This Privacy Policy explains how Bruce's Sales & Leasing ("Bruce's," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, contact us, check product availability, or start a lease online. Bruce's is a rent-to-own (lease-purchase) retailer with stores in St. George, Utah; Farmington, New Mexico; and Page, Arizona.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on our site, such as Check Availability, Start Lease Now, Contact Us, or Get Started, or when you sign up for our emails or text messages, we collect what you enter. This includes your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and preferred store, along with the product, options, and payment plan you were looking at. If you agree to receive text messages, we also keep a record of that consent.
Lease application information. If you apply for a lease, we collect the information we need to verify your identity and review your application. Depending on the application, this may include your date of birth, Social Security number, home address, a photo of your government-issued ID, employment and income details, proof of income such as a pay stub, and the references you list.
Referral information. If you come to our site through a link shared by a Bruce's employee, we record which link brought you here so we can credit that employee if you become a customer. A referral link counts for 14 days after your visit.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your device and how you use the site. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the link or ad that brought you here. We also use your IP address to estimate your general location so the site can suggest your nearest store; a third-party lookup service receives your IP address to do this. Some of our forms may also save the contact details you entered in your browser so you don't have to type them again. You can remove these by clearing your browser's data for our site.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and tell you whether a product is available at, or can be ordered for, your store.
- To review lease applications, verify your identity and income, and prevent fraud.
- To set up and manage your lease, schedule delivery, and process payments.
- To call or text you about your request, application, or lease, including account notices and payment reminders.
- To credit employees for customer referrals.
- To send you offers and store news by email or text message if you sign up or where the law allows. You can opt out at any time.
- To run, secure, and improve our website.
- To comply with the law and protect the rights and safety of our customers, employees, and business.
How we share your information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our website platform (Shopify), the business software we use to store and route customer inquiries and applications, our lease management system, our text messaging provider, and our payment portal. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners, through cookies and similar technologies, to measure our ads and show you Bruce's ads on other websites. You can opt out of this on our Your Privacy Choices page.
- Legal and safety reasons, when the law or legal process requires it, or to protect our customers, employees, or business.
- Business transfers, if Bruce's is involved in a merger, sale, or similar transaction.
We do not sell the information you provide in a lease application, including your Social Security number, ID, and income documents. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text message consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Payments
Payments on existing leases are made through a third-party payment portal linked from our site ("Make a Payment" and "Pay My Bill"). Information you enter there is collected by that provider and handled under its own privacy policy.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and we limit access to sensitive application information to the employees and service providers who need it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so please use our application form, not regular email or text messages, to send your Social Security number or ID images.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, including for the life of your lease, and for as long as legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping requirements call for. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it unidentifiable.
Your choices
- Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us. We'll still send you messages about your application or lease.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any text from us to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. You can also contact us to change your text preferences.
- Targeted advertising. Visit our Your Privacy Choices page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us what personal information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We may need to keep some information to manage an active lease or to meet legal requirements, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We will not treat you differently for making a privacy request.
Children
Our website and leases are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our website platform

Other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as our payment portal and our social media pages. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
